2009 Annual Conference Reception

Brazilian Cultural Foundation will host the 10th Capoeira Angola conference in May, 2009. The reception is a great opportunity to meet members of the organization and view a performance of Capoeira. Details will continue to be listed.

Kinnickinnic River Cleanup

Brazilian Cultural Foundation with the support of the Associação de Capoeira Angola Corpo e Movimento will participate in the Kinnickinnic River Cleanup on Saturday, October 11 at Cleveland Park (10th St. and Cleveland Ave.) in Milwaukee. The river cleanup project is organized several times a year by local schools, community organizations, and the Milwaukee County Parks Department. The cleanup is designed to educate the public about the importance of keeping Milwaukee’s waterways clean. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the cleanup will be from 9:00 a.m. - noon. Activities, food, and music will be from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Several hundred Milwaukee residents participate in the event.

Play Capoeira and Read a Book - Capoeira at Four Los Angeles Libraries
9/20, 9/27/08, Brazilian Cultural Foundation and Associação de Capoeira Angola Corpo e Movimento offered a series of events at four Los Angeles Public Libraries (El Sereno Library, Echo Park Library, Robert Louis Stevenson Branch Library, and Benjamin Franklin Library). The event included a book-reading session, workshop, and presentation. This event was free and open to the public.
