Performances
Our performances integrates a discussion of the geography and culture of Brazil with a presentation of the art of Capoeira Angola. We teach about the history, practice, percussion instruments, music, and songs of Capoeira Angola. We encourage students to actively participate in our presentations as volunteers.
We performed for various organizations, institutions, and social projects in Los Angeles and Miwaukee Counties including the Hispanic Professional of Greater Milwaukee, Los Angeles Public Libraries, The Kinnickinnic River Cleanup Project (Milwaukee), City of Pasadena’s Black History Festival, Escolinha Brasileira da Tia Livia (Culver City, CA), Jeff Fest Fundraiser Event (Los Angeles), William Carey University (Pasadena, CA), Marengo Elementary School (South Pasadena, CA), Rockwell Automation, (Milwaukee, WI), Ability First (Pasadena, CA), West Allis Chamber of Commerce (Pewaukee, WI), Timbktu (Milwaukee, WI), California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, CA), and University of Wisconsin-Parkside (Kenosha, WI).
