Play Capoeira and Read a Book - Capoeira at Five Los Angeles Libraries
Brazilian Cultural Foundation with the support of the Associação de Capoeira Angola Corpo e Movimento offered a series of events at five Los Angeles Public Libraries (Arroyo Seco, El Sereno Library, Echo Park Library, Robert Louis Stevenson Branch Library, and Benjamin Franklin Library). The events included a book-reading session, workshop, and presentation. This event was free and open to the public. Over 200 Los Angeles residents participated in the events.

Brazilian Cultural Foundation (BCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide community services. We offer classes that focus on the arts, physical fitness, health awareness, citizenship, and fundamental skills that prepare young adults in becoming responsible community citizens. BCF is dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for our youth. Scholarships are provided to participants who demonstrate financial need. Our general curriculum will include, but is not limited to, classes in physical fitness, nutrition, language and reading skills, and after-school tutorials for young adults and children. BCF does not discriminate in its membership and welcomes all community members to participate in our activities and programs.
